Position Overview:
As a Member Services Representative, you help our members both in person and on the phone. You use established guidelines and policies to exceed member expectations, keep member accounts updated in databases, route service orders, and share information on cooperative programs and services that benefit our members.
What You’ll Do:- Receives, records, and reconciles various types of payments. Includes counting back change and balancing a cash drawer daily.
- Responds to member requests and inquiries professionally.
- Process member inquiries/requests in accordance with established department policies and procedures, with the goal of meeting or exceeding members’ service expectations.
- Maintains and updates Member Accounts in CHELCO databases.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and at least one year of customer service experience.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be service-oriented.
- Must have good problem-solving and active listening skills.
- Must have strength in problem sensitivity.
- Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with programs similar to Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
- Ability to discuss and communicate billing information.
- Must be able to utilize math skills to count currency.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Cash handling/drawer balancing experience
- Data entry of at least 35 words per minute

The normal workweek is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, and every other Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm at any of the CHELCO Member Service Area Offices, and remote work is not an option.
This position is ONSITE only
. Infrequent work outside of normal business hours may be required for training, meetings, storm response, etc.
