2nd Shift Museum Attendants (Part-Time/OPS)

Join the John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art as a 2nd Shift Museum Attendant. This part‑time role supports museum operations during the 2:00 PM‑10:30 PM shift, ensuring exceptional guest service and the safety of our collections and visitors.

• Assist guests while ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Work assigned posts and events on the museum grounds and buildings, primarily at the Center for Performing Arts.
• Patrol buildings and the 66‑acre grounds on foot and by golf cart.
• Preserve the safety of staff, visitors, and the protection of the collection, buildings, and grounds.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, potential hazards, or safety issues.
• Occasionally utilize computers to write reports, send correspondence, and submit work orders.
• Handle emergencies such as situations, fire alarms, or emergency evacuations.

• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, ascend/descend stairs, and work in all types of weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain prior to hire. (Driver’s permits not allowed.)

• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience in a museum or non‑profit organization.
• Prior experience in approaching work and interacting with colleagues and/or students.
• Ability to promote a welcoming work/education environment.
