The CSC drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, supports the veterinary team, ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates care in a welcoming and efficient manner to influence client satisfaction and referrals.
Responsibilities- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.
- Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support wellness plan clients.
- Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times; welcome clients and pets, educate them about their pet s health, and promote hospital visits.
- Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services.
- Assist incoming clients by completing required documentation, entering pet information and history, and ensuring prompt service.
- Assist outgoing clients with instructions, information and invoices, dispense prescriptions as directed, sell retail products, and schedule future appointments.
- Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and performing opening and closing procedures.
- Conduct administrative functions as necessary; perform other duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods; comfortable around animals; may require more than 40 hours/week including weekends and evenings.
- Must have solid reasoning, memory, mathematics and language abilities; ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds; good hand-eye coordination; vision requirements.
- Employee will be exposed to pets (possible bites/scratches) and to clinical environments with various hazards.
Experience, Education and/or Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old to perform radiography duties.
- One year of related experience required; customer service experience preferred.
- Medical background or terminology training preferred.
