Overview
Position: Digital Fellow
Location: Tallahassee
Reports to: Communications Director
Schedule: 5 days per week, up to 40 hours per week
Start Date: January 2026 through at least November 2026
Compensation: $15.00 hourly
- Create original, high quality digital content, including graphics, shortform video, and copy for FDP’s social media platforms.
- Design graphics and edit video using tools such as Canva, Cap Cut, Adobe, or similar platforms.
- Appear comfortably on camera for reels, Tik Toks, live streams, and rapid response content as needed.
- Monitor breaking news, political developments, and digital trends to inform timely content creation.
- Draft shortform captions, scripts, and talking points aligned with FDP messaging.
- Help amplify content from the Party Chair, candidates, elected officials, and coalition partners.
- Committed to Democratic politics and progressive values.
- 02 years of experience in digital content creation, social media, or communications (internships, fellowships, and campaign experience count).
- Strong skills in creating graphics and video for platforms such as Instagram, Tik Tok, X, Facebook, and You Tube.
- Proficiency in Canva required; experience with Cap Cut or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Comfortable being on camera and creating authentic, personalitydriven content.
- Ability to work flexible hours, especially during peak moments of the election cycle.
- Strong writing skills and an understanding of tone, message discipline, and audience targeting.
This is a cycle-based, full-time position running through the 2026 election. Compensation is $15 per hour, with up to 40 hours per week.
