Responsibilities

The Florida State University College of Law is seeking a Digital Production Specialist to lead the law school's multimedia content creation, including video production, photography, and post-production editing. This role develops engaging and high-quality content through the lens of a storyteller, elevating the College's brand. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Photography and Brand Consistency
  • Oversee photography projects for headshots, marketing materials, and events, ensuring all visuals align with the College’s brand standards.
  • Ensure all Communications photo and video content maintains the College's brand standards, adhering to visual identity and messaging guidelines across all multimedia projects.
Video Production, Editing, Storytelling and Creativity
  • Capture and edit high-quality video content, incorporating graphics, transitions, and sound using advanced editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and scripts that tell compelling stories aligned with the College’s brand.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and professional standards.
  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of video production, including planning, filming, editing, and delivering content for web, and live events.
  • Manage live streams and AV setups for events and lectures, including troubleshooting, lighting, and real-time adjustments for professional broadcasts.
  • Maintain and organize multimedia equipment and studio space, overseeing inventory, repairs, and safe usage.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned and work nights/weekends as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience. (

Note:

a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in videography and photography.
  • Advanced video editing techniques.
  • Ability to craft engaging and on-brand multimedia content.

    Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong technical skills in editing software and production tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with a strong sense of storytelling.
