Project Estimator

Job Overview

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Estimator located in High Springs, FL
. The Project Estimator will work with the preconstruction team and subcontractor community to develop project budgets and analysis for the site, earthwork, and underground utilities. As an estimator, you will work closely with the Owner, Project Managers, and vendors.
The Project Estimator will be responsible for executing all pre-planning site work, including but not limited to estimating, schedules, proposals & agreements, earthwork, utilities, paving, project closeout, and job reconciliation
.

• Defines the scope of the project based on the bid documents
• Develops budgets based on the scope of work
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors as needed
• Evaluate and review bids for the complete scope
• Complies, submits, and manages RFI
• Attends meetings as needed
• Help maintain a historical database and subcontractor database
• Sets up projects after being awarded for handoff to the construction team
• Work with the site development division as needed to estimate self‑performed work
• Execute all pre‑planning site work including estimating, schedules, proposals & agreements, earthwork, utilities, paving, project closeout, and job reconciliation

• Knowledge/experience in commercial construction
• Knowledge/experience in civil and underground utilities
• Estimating experience required: 5 years
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Maintains good professional relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Plan Swift, Procore, and Agtek Earthwork 4D
