ASPHALT PAVING ESTIMATORLocation:
Tampa / Clearwater, FL

An established and certified asphalt paving contractor is actively seeking an experienced and driven Asphalt Paving Estimator. As an Estimator you will be responsible for the preparation and review of all estimate packages, adhering to departmental procedures and standards while ensuring precision and accuracy.

Estimator Responsibilities:

• Solicit and respond to bid opportunities across the assigned geographic region.
• Methodically evaluate and analyze bid specifications, plans, scope of work, related drawings, production rates, and profitability margins.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather and analyze data for accurate estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction techniques.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant project information.

Estimator Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience specifically in the Florida asphalt paving industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in Commercial, Roadway, and Residential Asphalt Paving and Maintenance projects.
• In-depth knowledge of asphalt materials, construction methods, and industry best practices.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and specialized estimating software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with local regulations and permits related to asphalt paving projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively manage time and priorities.
