The Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller serves Leon County residents by supporting court operations,
processing and recording judicial orders, and safeguarding public records and funds.

Initial appointments are typically made at or near the minimum of the approved pay range, consistent with budget authorization and internal equity.
Overview:The Executive Administrator provides executive coordination and operational support to the Clerk by managing priorities, facilitating communication, and ensuring timely completion of leadership actions. The position serves as a central coordination point for requests, scheduling, and follow-through, enabling the Clerk to focus on statutory responsibilities and executive decision-making.
The position exercises independent judgment in organizing priorities, coordinating responses, preparing communications, and routing matters consistent with leadership direction. The role does not establish policy but ensures leadership direction is communicated, scheduled, and executed appropriately.
Executive CoordinationCoordinates meetings, schedules, and commitments based on operational priority. Determines urgency of requests and routes matters appropriately. Prepares the Clerk for upcoming obligations and deadlines.
Communication & Liaison SupportServes as a primary coordination contact for internal leadership, public officials, partner agencies, and the public. Ensures information is conveyed to appropriate parties and responses are tracked. Facilitates follow-up communication on behalf of the Clerk.
Operational Follow-ThroughTracks assignments, initiatives, and commitments requiring executive awareness. Monitors progress and follows up with responsible parties regarding deadlines. Ensures requested information and materials are prepared in advance of meetings.
Executive Communications CoordinationCoordinates official communications on behalf of the Clerk. Prepares, reviews, and schedules public messaging consistent with leadership direction. Ensures communications are timely, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards. Routes sensitive or policy-related content for appropriate approval prior to release.
Administrative & Document CoordinationCoordinates preparation and organization of correspondence, reports, and meeting materials. Maintains organized records of executive actions and reference materials.
Assignments may vary based on organizational need.
Required EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Required ExperienceExperience coordinating schedules, communications, or operational activities requiring independent judgment.
Required Licensure or CertificationNone required.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- Experience supporting executive leadership, elected officials, or senior management.
- Experience managing schedules, communications, or operational priorities requiring independent judgment.
