Our Organization and MissionThe Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the agency charged with licensing and regulating State of Florida businesses and professionals, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, condominiums, hotels, and restaurants. Our mission is to license efficiently and regulate fairly, and we strive to meet this goal in our day-to-day operations.
The Work You Will DoThis position is located within the Director’s Office of the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. This position is a part of the administrative assistant team and is responsible for the administrative functions in the office.
Your Specific ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent in this position is responsible for the administrative functions in the office to include :
- Verifies receipt of annual managing entity fee payments and ensures that payments are reflected in the appropriate databases.
- Reconciles payments with regularly generated reports.
- Responsible for reporting inconsistencies to all affected supervisors.
- Maintains databases and spreadsheets that will be used to collect and organize revenue data.
- Compiles data and prepares reports as requested.
- Makes recommendations for improvements.
- Research files and historical data to verify payment amounts and make corrections to the database.
- Responds to inquiries from managing entities/developers regarding association fees owed and/or paid with accurate information.
- Research annual fee notices returned undeliverable and/or addressee unknown to obtain current information.
- Ensure that current information is updated in the appropriate database and that returned annual fee notices are redelivered.
- Communicate with the public as required regarding routine billing questions.
- Monitors and tracks managing entities/developers under disciplinary action and prepares reports on the status of fees due.
- Ensures that all procedures are followed regarding the collection of unpaid fees and/or penalties.
- Acts as back-up in performing the duties of other support staff as directed by a supervisor.
- Performs other related work duties as required.
- Ability to work independently.

- Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports.
- Proficient in the use of technology, including software, hardware, and data systems.
- Knowledge and the ability to apply Florida Statutes, rules, and procedures for licensing of professionals.
Two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service and administrative functions.
