Cavanaugh & Co, LLP is seeking a full-time, on-site Seasonal Administrative Assistant to help support our Sarasota office for the upcoming tax season. We are looking for a team player who is committed to producing outstanding work that results in success for our firm. The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment while providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, time management, and communication skills ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient administrative processes to support the firm's needs. - Greet client and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly
- Accept and receive payments
- Utilize the firm's software systems to look up client information and other research
- Coordinate the pick-up, and delivery of tax materials
- Provide customer support via phone, email, and in person, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a welcoming environment
- Post and mail miscellaneous documents, tax materials, invoices, and IRS correspondence as necessary
- You will have training and work alongside another dynamic administrative assistant
- Additional tasks as needed
- Proficiency in Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills to support office operations efficiently
- Strong Phone Etiquette and Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Adaptability and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Prior experience in administrative roles is preferred
- Comfortable with client interactions in person and by phone
- Adhere and uphold company policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Pay:
From $20 per hour
Commitment Duration:
February 2, 2026 until April 16, 2026
Expected hours: up to 40 per week
