Assistant Community Manager – Governors Square Apartments (Blairstone)

About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager assists the Community Manager in effectively managing the assigned property. In the Community Manager’s absence, you will assume all responsibilities associated with accomplishing property objectives. You will maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including accurate reporting of rents and deposits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly update all rents, deposits, and other monies received from residents; verify correspondence with lease.
  • Issue appropriate notices when necessary (e.g., late payment, eviction notices).
  • Maintain a positive resident relations attitude.
  • Inspect the property, pick up litter, and report maintenance needs.
  • Perform leasing duties: greet prospective clients, show community, and assist with outside marketing.
  • Attempt to convert Notice‑to‑Vacate to renewals.
  • Stay aware of local market conditions and contribute marketing ideas.
  • Update the on‑site accounting system for all property activity.
  • Proofread lease paperwork and process move‑ins and move‑outs.
  • Process security deposit move‑out reports.
  • Accept resident service requests and coordinate with maintenance.
  • Conduct service follow‑up with residents when work is completed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 experience (required).
  • Minimum 1 year of property management experience (required).
  • Preferred: 1 year experience with Yardi or Yardi Voyager.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Computer skills:
    Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Gmail.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work in a team, and independently complete assignments.
  • Must comply with all company safety rules.
