Location: Sarasota
Frederick Derr & Company, Inc., a well-established Sarasota, FL based contractor specializing in site development construction, is looking for an Assistant Accounting Manager. This is a great opportunity to get into an employee‑owned company in a position that offers advancement potential.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:- Learn processes for EDP Systems and troubleshoot issues in Sage 300 CRE Accounting system and interfacing software applications. Gain an understanding of workflow and posting processes between applications.
- Work with accounting staff, prepare reports and assist with daily workflow activities.
- Assist and review quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
- Work with estimating and project management team.
- Associate’s degree in accounting
- 5 years’ experience in construction accounting
- Experience with Sage 300 is preferred.
Compensation for this role will be based on candidate’s experience.
