Position Summary

This position is in the Office of Financial Management, reporting to the Revenue Management section. This is a full-time position that works closely with FDLE’s financial information and is responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, protected and in compliance with accounting standards. This position requires excellent customer service skills as it will require interacting with internal and external customers.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Invoicing customers for conducting criminal history checks;
  • Generating monthly customer invoices in the Revenue Accounting Management System;
  • Working with customers regarding their account balances, working past due accounts and over payments, and researching issues as they arise;
  • Identifying accounts for collections and write-offs; and
  • Preparing additional reports as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures;
  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection;
  • Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data;
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting program;
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques; and
  • Ability to use computer software skills, including beginner skills in database/spreadsheet software, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word.
