Temporary Accountant (Hybrid) – Florham Park, NJ
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
A well-established education services organization headquartered in Florham Park, NJ is seeking a Temporary Accountant to support the accounting team during a leadership transition. The Assistant Controller recently resigned, and the team is looking for a strong hands‑on professional to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations while a permanent replacement is identified.
This is a hybrid role – onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the company’s newly established Florham Park office.
Key Responsibilities:- Book journal entries in People Soft (General Accounting, Cash, Fixed Assets Accruals, Balance Sheet JEs, Payroll)
- Perform cash reconciliations using Cadency Matching (book vs. bank)
- Run and analyze capital spend reports for field locations
- Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks as requested by the Controller
- Proficiency with People Soft
- Experience with cash reconciliations and journal entries
- Comfortable stepping into a fast‑paced environment and providing immediate support
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who can quickly integrate into a team and provide high‑level support during a transitional period.
