Sales and Business Development opportunities for a Salesperson and a Store Driver at Advance Auto Parts.
SalespersonEntry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives.
- Support the DIY business and achieve sales and service objectives.
- Knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and parts.
- Ability to source parts from stores, hubs, P&D, and external suppliers.
- In‑depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes.
- Position available part time or full time. Fleet safety certification preferred.
- Provide excellent selling experience during DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales goals.
- Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock management.
- Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
- General stocking: truck stocking and back‑stock.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Ability to use delivery board system.
- Friendly communication.
- Ability to locate and stock parts.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge.
- Operating POS and parts lookup systems.
- Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
Job Skills
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Entry‑level position supporting delivery of parts to commercial customers.
- Deliver parts to commercial customers safely and efficiently.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer.
- Collect daily credit accounts.
- Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
- General stocking: truck stocking and back‑stock.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Ability to use delivery board system.
- Friendly communication.
- Ability to locate and stock parts.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Operating inventory systems (back‑stock) and store equipment.
Job Skills

The role requires walking or standing, speaking, hearing, and using hands to handle or feel, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Work EnvironmentPrimarily inside the store; occasional outside exposure to various weather conditions while installing parts. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
