Overview
Retail Keyholder (Store 3025) at Game Stop.
Responsibilities- Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions and concerns promptly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items as appropriate, apply selling behaviors during transactions, and express appreciation to guests.
- Support the overall shopping environment and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system, ensuring top-notch guest service.
- Address guest questions in person or by phone and respond promptly to ensure top-tier service.
- Promote Game Stop benefits, such as new title reservations and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
- Keep store areas clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order.
- Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
- Safeguard assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness and safety.
- Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and move products from stock to selling floor to ensure representation and organization.
- Support management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily POS totals; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required.
- Check shipments for discrepancies, report them to management, and process recalls or stock pulls accurately.
- Supervise and delegate tasks in the absence of management.
- Adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures; follow opening and closing procedures.
- Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge preferred.
- Able to work alone, stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
- Exceptional guest service skills and friendly, genuine assistance to every guest.
- Clear verbal and written communication;
English proficiency required, bilingual English/Spanish preferred. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance expectations.
- Operate the POS system and complete required paperwork; basic math and alphabetical skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, with problem-solving abilities.
- Follow written or verbal instructions; deliver bank deposits following loss prevention guidelines.
- Flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs from ground level to 4 feet.
Full-time store positions at Game Stop are eligible for incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may be eligible for bonuses and/or other incentives.
