Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg

GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Florence, South Carolina.

• Location: Florence, SC 29505 (Florence / Pee Dee region)
• Role: Travel Nurse – Med/Surg RN, Night Shift (Medical‑Surgical / Telemetry experience preferred)
• Setting: Community Hospital, Flex Pool (Medical Surgical Unit)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: 12‑hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 3×12 or 4×12 hour shifts per week; every other weekend required

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770 per week

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical‑surgical nursing, telemetry or MS/Tele)
• Active South Carolina RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (compact) license prior to start
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Epic EMR / Epic charting experience required
• Clinical experience with telemetry monitoring, insulin protocols (including IV insulin), and Rapid Response
• First‑time travel nurses accepted
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
  Must be able to work every other weekend and participate in on‑call as needed
• Not accepting local candidates within 60 miles

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg unit as a travel nurse
• Manage patient assignments (typical ratios 1:6–7) and maintain a safe, effective care environment
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, administer medications (including IV insulin), and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Perform wound care and manage drains, catheters, chest tubes, and specialty beds
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, case management) to coordinate patient care
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and adhere to facility policies
• Float to similar units as needed to meet facility needs and participate in emergency response (including hurricane season) if assigned
