Job Title:

MICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel

Location:

Florence, SC 29505

Duration: 13 week contract

Shift: Night Shift | 3×12 hours | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

• Manage ventilators, invasive lines, cardiac drips, and complex monitoring

• Perform rapid assessments and respond to changes in patient condition

• Administer medications and treatments per critical care protocols

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR

• Float within scope to similar units as needed, consistent with staff nurse expectations

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)

• Minimum 1 year of MICU/critical care experience (2 years preferred)

• Previous travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Current Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of recent MICU experience

• Strong familiarity with Epic charting system

• Experience floating to like critical care units

Distance Requirement

• Local Radius: 60 miles

• Local travelers within 60 miles are not accepted
