Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Renal) unit, with SC or compact RN license and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical (Renal) unit

• Patient ratios are 1:6-7

• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

• Required to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations

• No on-call required

• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed within scope of practice

• Uses Epic EMR system

• Royal blue scrubs required for this assignment

• Free parking available for staff

• Provide nursing care to medical surgical renal patients

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• All required time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to offer; limited RTO may be auto-approved

• Be aware of hurricane season assignments (June-November), as participation in emergency response teams may be required

• Facility requires only one submission per unit or campus at a time

• Teamwork is emphasized with support from an established unit staff

Requirements

• Active SC RN or compact license in hand prior to start

• Current BLS certification from AHA

• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required

• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration

• Not eligible if you have worked as perm or PRN for this health system in the past year

• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility; locals not accepted

• Modules must be completed prior to start
