Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 (normal ratio 1:6, may flex to 1:7 for unplanned absences)

• Every other weekend requirement

• On-call PRN for low census situations

• Float required to med surg units within scope

• 2 years of nursing experience preferred

• First-time travelers accepted

• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start

• Required certifications: BLS

• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS

• Epic experience required

Skills required:

Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, Rapid Response

• Royal blue scrubs required

• Free parking available

• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with typical medical surgical diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and AMS

• All patients eligible for telemetry monitoring done by monitor techs in central location

• Hurricane season emergency response team assignment may be required June through November

The facility utilizes Epic charting system and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and provides telemedicine capabilities with appropriate instruction for staff.
