Sterile Processing Tech - Surgical Services (FT)
Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, Manager, or Director, the Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, processing, and sterilization of instruments used to support physicians and surgical teams in the operating room and other departments.
The role requires strict adherence to medical center policies and procedures and compliance with state, local, and federal regulations. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and supporting clinical operations through accurate and timely sterile reprocessing.
Responsibilities- Decontaminate, clean, inspect, and assemble instruments.
- Package, process, and sterilize instruments.
- Ensure compliance with medical center policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support clinical operations.
- High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Sterile Processing Program.
- Certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution).
Salary:
Hourly.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, full-time.
