Therapeutic Assistant - Adolescent Inpatient PRN role at MUSC Health
Responsibilities- Under limited supervision, provide patient care as directed by a multi-disciplinary treatment program.
- Orient new care team members.
- Conduct and document group programming.
- Obtain and document vital signs.
- Record meal percentages and document applicable patient care in the electronic medical record.
- Open and perform other duties as directed by registered nurses and the Nurse Manager.
- Attend 75% of unit staff meetings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Behavioral health or related healthcare experience preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
- Certification in de-escalation training within the orientation period and annually thereafter; and biannually for BLS.
