We are seeking a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented support and case management services to residents of long-term care facilities and their families. There may be opportunities for future transition into counseling services. Our care addresses a wide range of issues from anxiety and depression to severe mental illnesses and end-of-life concerns. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our clinicians significantly impact residents' quality of life, solving problems, delivering clinical care, and serving as a vital link in caring for this vulnerable population.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications/
Education:
Master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy, with eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.
Knowledge:
- Population-specific interventions and care following treatment plans.
- Regulations governing behavioral health practice.
- Organizational policies and procedures.
Skills Required:
- Data gathering and analysis of physiological, socioeconomic, behavioral, and emotional information.
- Training in social/emotional well-being, stress, and anger management, and life skills.
- Accurate evaluation and appropriate intervention or referral skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High initiative, judgment, and discretion.
- Effective relationship-building skills.
Abilities:
- Respond calmly in emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Evaluate and recommend quality improvements.
- Handle confidential information responsibly.
