This position reports to the Director of Clinical Services. The role involves the provision of comprehensive quality therapy services (recreational, art, or music) for psychiatric inpatients, including group therapy sessions, initial assessments, daily documentation, and integrated therapeutic interventions. The therapist collaborates with volunteers, interns, students, physicians, nurses, and other treatment team members, and provides training, orientation, and education to occupational/recreation/music/art therapy interns and other students associated with Psychiatry.

- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Art, Music or Recreation Therapy, Psychology or related field. Certification in activity therapy with appropriate experience may be accepted. - Licenses/Certificates:
Certification in Basic Life Support required. Certification by the Board of Music Therapy (MT-BC), or Art therapist registration (ATR) by the American Art Therapy Association, or Credentialed as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred. Certification in de‑escalation training within the orientation period is required.
