Summary:

The Patient Care Technician performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine patient care duties within training limits.
• Provide care under RN supervision.
• Assist with patient comfort, hygiene, and mobilization.
• Collect basic data and respond to patient needs.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of patient care environment.
• Deliver personal and family support as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant course.
• Previous experience or coursework preferred.
• CNA and AHA BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle a fast‑paced, medical environment.
