Job DescriptionMaintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co‑workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Manages a system‑wide value analysis process to provide high‑quality, cost‑effective products, equipment, and services to McLeod Health. Serves as the corporate lead for all value analysis teams and collaborates with Supply Chain, Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, and end‑user departments to review supply needs and translate them into an optimal formulary.
Responsible for ensuring all value analysis decisions combine a business case (financial benefits) and clinical analysis (qualitative benefits) to drive informed decisions about product efficacy, safety, and cost, resulting in an optimal formulary.
Facilitates and drives cost‑reduction opportunities through improved standardization, utilization, price leveling strategies, and value analysis while maintaining excellent clinical quality and healthcare access.
Oversees physician onboarding related to supply, equipment, and services, ensuring requests are handled timely and aligned with strategy and formulary.
Manages product disruption processes, including complaints and backorders, to ensure appropriate documentation, resolution, and alternative sourcing.
Monitors key financial indicators to ensure expected results; reviews deviations and implements solutions as needed.
Maintains value analysis financial tracker documenting cost and revenue impact of initiatives and presents savings initiatives to Supply Chain and Executive Leadership.
Identifies and analyzes job design, work processes, and workflows for the Value Analysis area, implementing changes to improve effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency.
Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines impacting Value Analysis and Supply Chain, develops internal controls, and seeks guidance as necessary.
Stays current on developments in the field by attending seminars, reading journals, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining certification or licensure; integrates knowledge into current practices.
Self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; analytical, Excel, and customer service skills.
Requires availability 24/7 for support during planned or emergency situations, including on‑site presence if necessary.
Must handle stressful situations and demonstrate positive emotional behavior and social skills with co‑workers, vendors, customers, and patients. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Health Care Administration, or related field, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. MBA and/or MHA preferred.
- Must have 10 years of Value Analysis, Process Improvement, Quality Improvement, Clinical Management, Supply Chain Management, or related experience in a healthcare setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field required.
- RN license preferred.
- MBA/MHA preferred.
- CVAHP preferred.
- CMRP preferred.
