St. Anthony Catholic School in Florence, South Carolina, seeks a faith-filled, visionary, and collaborative Principal to serve as the spiritual, academic, and administrative leader of the parish school. The principal advances the mission of Catholic education by fostering a Christ-centered learning environment rooted in Gospel values, academic excellence, and service. The principal works closely with the Pastor, faculty, parents, and parish community to promote the faith formation and holistic development of students while ensuring strong academic programs and effective school operations.

• Foster and maintain the Catholic identity and mission of the school
• Lead prayer and participate in school liturgies and faith formation
• Collaborate closely with the Pastor in spiritual and sacramental life of the school
• Promote spiritual growth among students, faculty, and families

• Oversee a rigorous, standards-based, faith-integrated academic program
• Ensure curriculum alignment with diocesan and state standards
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty
• Support instructional excellence and student achievement

• Manage daily school operations, scheduling, supervision, and discipline
• Ensure compliance with diocesan policies and state education requirements
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing school environment
• Oversee admissions, records, and school procedures Personnel and Professional Development
  • Recruit, hire, and retain qualified faculty and staff
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven professional culture
  • Provide professional and spiritual formation opportunities
  Enrollment, Advancement, and Stewardship
  • Collaborate with Pastor on enrollment growth and retention
  • Assist in budget planning and stewardship of resources
  • Support marketing, communications, and development initiatives
  • Strengthen school-parish relationships
  Community Relations
  • Build strong relationships with parents, parishioners, and community
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Represent the school positively in parish and community settings
  Qualifications
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing committed to Catholic education
  • Master’s degree in educational leadership, Administration, or related field (required or in progress)
  • Eligible for South Carolina principal certification (or equivalent)
  • Teaching and/or school leadership experience (Catholic school preferred)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
