Job Description

Position begins  school year. Salary Schedule is based on the  school year.

All offers of employment are contingent upon board approval and the applicant’s satisfactory completion of a drug screening test (including marijuana), background and reference checks. Siuslaw School District strives to provide a safe, alcohol and drug free environment for all employees.

* The Siuslaw School District allows a maximum of 3 years of outside experience on the salary schedule.

Dates Needed: March 9, 2026

Season Ends: May 8, 2026

Salary: Based upon experience /SEA union salary base

Duties and Responsibilities: To assist in building and sustaining a competitive and fulfilling program for everyone involved in the program. To be able to effectively coach and model skills, work ethic and values inherent to a strong junior varsity level program. This position requires positive communication skills regarding all expectations and requirements of a junior varsity program connected to academics, safety and skill level.

Knowledge and Ability: The coach should possess a strong fundamental knowledge of track & field as well as current relevant knowledge of the League. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with high school students and athletes, and possess proper OSAA certifications.
