Working schedule for this position is Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Job Summary

The Quality Technician 3 at Jabil, Inc. ensures product quality and process integrity through advanced inspection, testing, and analytical methods. This role supports manufacturing operations by identifying and resolving quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform complex inspections, tests, and measurements on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize advanced inspection equipment, including CMM, optical comparators, and other specialized tools, to verify critical dimensions and characteristics.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and conduct root cause analysis for non-conforming materials or products, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
  • Assist in the development and revision of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Jabil's Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100, IATF).
  • Train and mentor less experienced Quality Technicians on inspection techniques, equipment operation, and quality procedures.
  • Document all quality-related activities, including inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions, accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in FMEA, SPC, and other quality improvement projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Job Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, including GD&T.
  • Expertise in operating and calibrating various inspection equipment, including CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
  • Proficiency in using quality software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • ASQ certifications (e.g., CQT, CQA) are a plus.
