Job Description

- Plan and control production, warehousing activities and inventory investment of one of our distribution centers located in Florence, South Carolina.
- Provide analysis, counsel, advice and recommendations to assist plant in achieving goals and objectives.
- Analyze customer orders and sales forecasts to prepare plant production and inventory plans.
- Review actual plant performance against sales and production plans, recommending corrective actions or changes to plans.
- Direct and monitor production control activities to assure balanced inventories and scheduled production and purchase releases.
- Plan and direct activities for shipping, warehousing, production scheduling, and inventory control of raw materials and finished goods.
- Direct purchasing activity for expense items and maintain contact with all vendors to insure uninterrupted supply.
- Resolve discrepancies related to incoming quality standards.
- Serve as CMS Principle Champion for Material Control.
- Prepare capacity planning analyses and recommend purchase of additional capacity.
- Assist in developing and maintaining computerized production/inventory control systems, supervise their operation, and ensure data integrity through systematic cycle counting.
- Direct warehousing activities and ensure adherence to governmental safety and health regulations and personnel policies.
- Perform special assignments and analyses as directed by Plant Manager or Division Manager, Production Control.
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical or business field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience successfully supervising a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clear and concise information to varied levels within the organization.
- SAP experience desired; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CPIM preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrable knowledge with MRP master data set-up, production versions, routings, warehouse management, inventory management, production activities, and RF transactions.
