Multi-State Travel (AL, KS, NC & additional sites) / Prefer living close to AL, Kansas/ Missouri and North Carolina

We are seeking experienced

Central Office Field Technicians with a strong background in legacy telecommunications infrastructure to support multi-site projects beginning in April.

This is aproject-based contract role supporting installations, circuit work, and network activities across multiple Central Office locations. Travel is required. Hours may vary based on project needs and site schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and support activities within Central Office environments
• Work with
  legacy POTS infrastructure
  and
  copper circuits
• Support
  DACS/DCS systems
  (Alcatel 1631 or similar platforms)
• Install, test, and maintain
  T1, T3, and SONET
  (OC3) circuits
• Perform circuit grooming, cross-connects, and jumper work
• Follow telco standards and safety procedures
• Document work performed and coordinate with project teams

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working in telecommunications Central Office environments
• Strong background in legacy telco technologies
• Hands-on POTS experience
• DACS or DCS system experience (Alcatel preferred)
• Experience with T1, T3, or SONET (OC3) transport technologies
• Ability and willingness to travel to project sites
• Strong troubleshooting and installation skills

Preferred:

• Former carrier or telecom contractor experience
• Network migration or decommissioning project experience
• Ability to work independently in field environments
• Contract-only role (not full-time employment)
• Hourly rate: $32.00–$35.00
• Hours will vary depending on project schedules and site activity
