Associate - Manufacturing

Description

The Associate - Manufacturing is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting small electrical motors according to established work instructions and quality standards. This role supports daily production goals by operating equipment, handling components, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient manufacturing environment.

• Assemble small electrical motors and subassemblies using hand tools, fixtures, and semi-automated equipment.
• Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform visual and functional inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Conduct basic electrical and mechanical tests as required.
• Identify and report defects, process issues, or equipment malfunctions to leadership.
• Accurately complete production, quality, and traceability documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards.
• Adhere to all safety policies, including proper use of PPE
• Support continuous improvement efforts and participate in team meetings
• Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations
• Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to Team Lead.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and diagrams
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to stand, sit, or move throughout the shift as required

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles

• Ability to lift up to 25–35 lbs occasionally
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms
• Visual acuity for inspection of small components
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and machinery
• Shift work and overtime may be required based on production needs
