First Shift Forklift Material Handler

Overview

Crescent Paper Tube is currently recruiting candidates for a motivated first shift material handler with the desire to learn our business. This position requires the individual to be CPT Forklift Operator certified and physically fit to permit individuals to get up and down from the forklift up to 100 times in a shift as well as constant motion between the up and down activity.

There are also lifting requirements of materials weighing up to 60 pounds.

• Operate CPT forklift as certified, and move materials as needed.
• Maintain clean, neat, and properly staged materials at all times.
• Read, comprehend, and follow all shipping paperwork and production orders to ensure accurate shipments.
• Work from a task list to accomplish daily requirements and meet team goals.

• CPT Forklift Operator certification.
• Physically fit to repeatedly get on/off a forklift and perform lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Strong work ethic, dependable with a goal to grow with the company, and output driven.
• Detail oriented with the ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
• Effective verbal and written communication between shifts.
• Safety awareness; comply with all safety rules and work in a safe manner.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
