Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Machine Operator to join our team. As a Production Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of production machinery, including but not limited to coilers, in a manufacturing environment to ensure efficient wire production processes. This is a direct hire, full-time position in a manufacturing production environment, with opportunities for growth and development.

Shift

2nd Shift: 2:45 pm - 1:15 am Monday – Thursday, with voluntary overtime opportunities.

Please note:

Training will occur on 1st shift for approximately two (2) months before transitioning to 2nd shift

Rate

$18 - $20 per hour plus a shift differential

Duties
  • Complete set-up and operation of various production machines making cored welding wire.
  • Manage and conduct tool changes, machine adjustments, quality checks, minor machine repairs, etc.
  • Calculate and record set-up parameters on wire mill
  • Measuring with O.D. Micrometers (Metric & Standard)
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mill
  • Work and operate other pieces of equipment around the plant as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with running and set-up of production machines preferred
  • Detail oriented and meticulous
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Experience with calibers, coilers, or measuring tools preferred
  • Self motivated & hard worker
  • Good communicator and able to work with others well
  • Ability to work independently and reliable
  • Ability to stand for hours on production floor
