The AWS Cloud Logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Specialist in Florence, KY to manage day‑to‑day warehousing operations for the world’s fastest growing industries while working on projects to enhance our operation. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running.
We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
We support a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. An ideal candidate has a background in logistics, warehouse management, and excellent data‑driven problem‑resolution skills, the ability to work with external partners, analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate root causes of defects within current systems.
Solid communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment are also required.

- You enjoy working with data to analyze and report complex data sets to drive optimal business decisions (ability to present data and use advanced formulas in Excel)
- You own decisions from inception to implementation
- You own continuous improvement efforts using your program management skills
- Engage in daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers
- Lead large projects independently
- Travel to audit warehouses throughout NALA (mostly domestic USA)
- Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed
- Publish performance metrics to assist with driving business results
- Quickly and efficiently understand the business impact of observed trends and make decisions based on available data
- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations
- Work with multiple stakeholder teams in the Supply Chain to jointly solve problems and implement standards
- Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs
- 5+ years of vendor management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end‑to‑end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Travel up to 30% of the time
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
