, is currently seeking to recruit a Tax & Accounting Supervisor to join its Finance Department and support the company’s tax and accounting compliance activities.
The role includes ensuring Tax and Local GAAP compliance, managing financial records and conducting accounting reconciliations, contributing in preparation of financial statements and reports, overseeing payroll and conducting ad-hoc tax accounting projects. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with management on financial strategy especially about taxation, coordinating tax audits and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure full compliance with tax legislation, Local GAAP, and company policies.
- Timely preparation and submission of VAT returns, withholding tax statements, and annual income tax returns.
- Monitor fixed assets: additions, disposals, IFRS 16 calculations, and reconciliation of the Fixed Assets Register with the Trial Balance.
- Oversee the month-end closing process and perform accounting and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare internal and external financial reports for organizations such as the Bank of Greece, Hellenic Statistical Authority, etc.
- Coordinate tax and financial audits in collaboration with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain effective internal accounting controls.
Guide and train junior accountants. - Prepare and submit all required reports related to corporate actions (e.g. share capital increases, start-up activities).
- Actively participate in monthly and year-end closings under IFRS and tax reporting frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master’s degree or professional qualification (ACCA, SOEL) will be considered an asset.
- A’ Class signatory right will be highly appreciated.
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in pharmaceutical or industrial companies.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, taxation, Local GAAP, costing, experience with SAP.
- Fluency in English
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of professional ethics and sense of responsibility.
- Ability to provide strategic financial recommendations to Management when required.
