- The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for processing customer orders, managing order entry, and coordinating shipment scheduling to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- This role serves as a liaison between manufacturing, internal departments, sales representatives, and customers to deliver exceptional service and resolve inquiries efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 3 years of general customer service experience.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, phone, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently assess and mediate high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work across multiple systems.
- Experience processing customer orders and handling shipment coordination.
- Experience interfacing with internal departments such as credit and collections, sales, shipping, and purchasing.
- Experience responding to customer complaints and coordinating resolutions.
- Experience supporting sales territories with pricing, delivery information, and terms.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Process customer orders and manage order entry.
- Coordinate orders and shipments between Manufacturing and customers.
- Serve as liaison between internal departments and external customers or sales representatives.
- Support assigned representative territory by processing inquiries, quoting prices, and providing delivery information.
- Handle phone, fax, and email inquiries; recommend appropriate products when possible.
- Refer advanced technical inquiries to Sales Managers, Technical Sales, or Product Champions.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, indexing paperwork, and releasing RMAs into internal systems.
- Track and communicate delivery dates, anticipated delays, back orders, substitutions, and conflicting terms.
- Respond to customer complaints and coordinate responses with responsible departments.
- Utilize manufacturing system tools and guiding principles to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and customer service orientation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Team-oriented with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
