Florence Copper is in the historic Copper Corridor of Arizona – a region steeped in copper mining history. During its lifetime, Florence Copper is estimated to create close to 500 jobs for Pinal County and generate $3.4 billion in economic activity for the State of Arizona.
Florence Copper is expected to have the lowest energy and greenhouse gas-intensity (GHG) of any copper producer in North America and will reduce the United States’ reliance on foreign producers for a metal considered to be critical for the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Florence Copper is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taseko Mines Limited which is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Taseko is also the operator and the owner of the Gibraltar copper/molybdenum mine in Canada and various other development projects.

From managing cathode shipments to coordinating inventory and transportation, this position is mission-critical to ensuring our copper moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Job SummaryAt Florence Copper, logistics is more than moving material—it’s keeping the operation running smoothly end-to-end. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the flow of cathode copper, supplies, and equipment from inbound raw materials through outbound delivery of finished copper cathode.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. In this role, you’ll coordinate transportation, inventory, storage, and documentation while working closely with production, procurement, customers, and logistics partners to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of materials.
What You’ll Do- Outbound Logistics
- Manage and track all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of analysis, and related records.
- Ensure compliance with end customer quality standards, packaging requirements, labeling, and shipping regulations.
- Inventory Management & Storage
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of cathode product and critical materials.
- Oversee the cathode yard and on-site storage areas to ensure materials are stored safely, securely, and efficiently.
- Coordinate and monitor movement of materials between production areas, storage yards, and staging locations.
- Daily Logistics Operations
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments from domestic and international suppliers.
- Prepare and manage logistics documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, MSDS, and certificates of analysis.
- Monitor shipments, proactively address delays, and resolve transportation disruptions.
- Work closely with procurement and production teams to align logistics planning with operational demand.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in ERP and logistics systems for full traceability and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience working with ERP systems and shipping/logistics software.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms, international trade, and customs compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating logistics for critical or industrial materials.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance.
- Approximately 50/50 office-based and outdoor yard work with regular interaction with production teams.
- Work occurs year-round; candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in hot and cold weather when loading and coordinating shipments.
- Adherence to established safety standards is required when handling or coordinating materials, including regulated or hazardous materials.
