Job Details

Responsible for cleaning the buildings, removing debris and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and mop floors, shampoos carpet, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans as well as other related janitorial duties.

Responsible for cleaning the buildings, removing debris and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and mop floors, shampoos carpet, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans as well as other related janitorial duties.

Position Responsibilities
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Service, clean all showers and locker rooms.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Wipe down all fitness equipment & spin bikes
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
  • Other related duties as directed.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Time Management: ability to multitask and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to follow direction with minimal supervision and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to communicate, interact and work positively and effectively with staff and residents at all levels.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience working in a Janitorial role.
  • Polished and professional appearance and attitude.
  • Self-starter and detail oriented.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; and move or transport oneself around the building and property for moderate to extended periods of time. The employee must be able to lift/carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Works indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to work on ladders.
  • Ability to be on feet for long periods of time.
  • May work independently or as part of a team.
