Registered Nurse, Surgery (RN) at Lifepoint Health. Full-time position requiring on-call duties.

Surgical Services at North Alabama Medical Center comprises 15 surgical suites, 6 Endoscopy Rooms, 6 private Pre-Admission Testing rooms, and 30 same-day surgery rooms. The surgical team includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and other professionals dedicated to providing compassionate care from pre-op to discharge.

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer; ACLS within 90 days of hire/transfer

• Performs duties as assigned
• Completes focused patient assessments with reassessments
• Assesses patient condition, procedures, medications, and treatments
• Assesses and manages pain; applies appropriate pain management techniques
• Performs patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and needs
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and correct administration; follows the 6 rights of medication administration
• Assists physicians with procedures requiring technical skills
• Performs treatments and services within licensure scope
• Maintains patient safety and reduces errors; operates equipment safely
• Educates patient and family on disease processes
