Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) — T0350

- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks. Engage with guests to solve specific needs and respond to inquiries.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the Total Store to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
- Promote and explain benefits, offerings, and services; assist with Target Loyalty program sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices. Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain and assist guests with Target App features and offerings (including Wallet) and direct them to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering options.
- Assist guests with returns following store policies and procedures; collaborate with leaders as needed to resolve issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
- Demonstrate safety, ethical conduct, and compliance with policies and procedures; report hazards and take corrective action when possible.
- Support guest services such as Order Pick Up (OPU), Drive-Up (DU) orders, and DU returns, including compliance with applicable laws.
- Perform other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including team members and shoppers.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, active environment where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key.
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).
- Effective communication with positive language and attentiveness to guest needs.
- Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members; ability to engage and educate about products and services.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle checkout operations, transactions, and cash office tasks as needed.
- Physical capability to lift/move merchandise as required (up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally).
- Flexible schedule availability, reliable attendance, and mobility for scheduled shifts.
