We are seeking a highly organized METRC / Inventory Specialist to support our cultivation facility in Flint
. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring full compliance with Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) requirements.
The METRC / Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing seed-to-post-harvest inventory tracking
, ensuring all plant movements, conversions, and transfers are accurately recorded in METRC and internal tracking systems. This role works closely with cultivation leadership and compliance teams to maintain inventory integrity across all phases of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory from seed through post-harvest
, ensuring accuracy at every stage - Track and manage all phases of the plant life cycle in METRC
- Convert Medical (MED) tags to Adult-Use (AU) tags in compliance with state regulations
- Create and manage plant tags and package tags within METRC
- Oversee internal cultivation inventory, including plants per table and room-level tracking
- Prepare and execute METRC manifests for internal and external transfers
- Reconcile physical inventory with METRC and internal records on a routine basis
- Utilize Google Sheets to track, audit, and report inventory data
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly
- Support internal audits, CRA inspections, and compliance reporting
- Collaborate with cultivation, processing, and retail teams to ensure accurate inventory flow
- Hands-on experience with METRC (required)
- Strong understanding of cannabis cultivation inventory and compliance requirements
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and data management skills
- Experience using Google Sheets for inventory tracking and reporting
- Ability to work independently in a regulated, fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a vertically integrated cannabis operation preferred
