Minimum Qualifications
Five (5) years' experience in the maintenance of buildings and related equipment, including the maintenance and repair of boilers, heating and ventilation equipment, air conditioning equipment, and the electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
Compensation- Starting Pay: $31.0659 Hourly ($64,617)
- Step A: $33.0750 Hourly ($68,796)
- Step B: $35.4928 Hourly ($73,825)
- Step C: $35.9990 Hourly ($74,878)
- Step D: $37.9957 Hourly ($79,031)
- Step E: $39.3293 Hourly ($81,805)
- Step F: $40.7351 Hourly ($84,729)
Five (5) years' experience in the maintenance of buildings and related equipment, including the maintenance and repair of boilers, heating and ventilation equipment, air conditioning equipment, and the electrical, control and instrumentation systems -AND- five (5) years' experience with CMMS maintenance software and BAS building automations systems (i.e. JCI or Trane).
Special QualificationsMust possess valid Michigan driver's license.
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, irregular hours and/or be on call.
Job SummaryPerform responsible supervisory work including the administration of a maintenance program for County Buildings; work is performed under the general supervision of the Deputy Director of Facilities and Operations; supervision is exercised over the work of maintenance mechanics and other maintenance employees; performs related duties as required.
EssentialJob Duties And Functions
- Directs, coordinates and inspects the maintenance, alteration and repair of buildings and grounds;
- Assists in the inspection and coordination of work performed by contractors;
- Makes cost estimates of building repairs;
- Prepares requisitions for supplies and materials required for assigned responsibilities;
- Plans and supervises the work activities of Maintenance Mechanics, Painters, Laborers and Custodial personnel;
- Assists in the preparation of maintenance programs and budget estimates;
- Maintains time records and work activity reports of employees supervised;
- Maintains supplies materials and tools assigned to a specific area.
