Controller​/VP of Finance

This is a unique opportunity to lead core accounting and finance functions, build systems and processes for scale, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership in a high‑growth, operationally dynamic environment.

In this role, you will have direct access to both the CEO and CFO, own critical financial initiatives, and influence strategic decision‑making. This position offers meaningful visibility, autonomy, and real equity upside for a finance leader ready to have a seat at the table.

• Lead all core accounting operations
  , including monthly close, POC (percentage-of-completion) accounting, and job‑cost tracking.
• Develop and enhance financial systems and processes
  , including ERP and job‑management system architecture, data migration, and controls.
• Manage all aspects of debt administration
  , including interest and amortization schedules, cash forecasting, and covenant tracking.
• Own financial reporting and analytics
  , including quarterly 3‑statement reporting packages and coordination of annual audits.
• Serve as a strategic finance partner
  , presenting performance insights and recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive stakeholders.
• Oversee and develop a small accounting team
  , ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as the business grows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline;
  CPA preferred
  .
• Public accounting background with transactions services experience, or audit at the Manager/SR Manager level, or a mix of public accounting and industry
• OR 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance leadership within construction, engineering, utilities, or another project‑based environment.
• Strong technical GAAP knowledge
• Job costing/percentage-of-completion accounting knowledge is a plus
• Experience with ERP systems, data architecture, and process design.
• Demonstrated ability to manage debt, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Salary up to $175k, DOE plus lucrative bonus and equity potential
