The Bilingual Paraprofessional assists with the instructional and non-instructional duties, as directed by the teacher for English Language Learner students. They assist and support the academic development of multilingual students.

Salary & Benefits:
Paraprofessional Salary Schedule (TA)
$16.00 per hour
30 hours per week

Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs equal to the difference between the premium cost and the annual cost limitation imposed on public employers.

Education:
Must have one of the following:
(1) Earned at least 60 semester hours of college credit, or
(2) Obtained an associate's degree (or higher), or
(3) ETS Parapro Assessment (score at least 460)
(4) College Board's SAT (score at least 480 on evidence-based reading/writing and a score of 530 on math)

Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and harmoniously with all students, specially those ficiency in typing and using a computer. Ability to interact with students, staff, and parents courteously and tactfully. Basic mathematics and pre-algebra concepts.

Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading both English and Spanish. Must be Bilingual.
