Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track Faculty (2026-27) – Human Cadaver Anatomy

Position SummaryWe invite applications for one or more tenured/tenure-track positions as an Assistant Professor in the biology department, specifically in the field of Human Cadaver Anatomy. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Human Anatomy, Physiology, or a closely-related field by the appointment date. The successful candidate will conduct research in Human Anatomy or the pedagogy thereof, and will collaborate with the College of Health Sciences for curriculum design and coordination.
Opportunities further exist for program development and laboratory expansion.
Committed to excellence in teaching with experience in human anatomy and in a cadaver laboratory. Expected to develop and deliver undergraduate courses, graduate courses, and lab courses. Responsible to advance the department’s teaching missions and address accreditation needs of anatomy courses.
Research ResponsibilitiesConduct a scholarly research program in human anatomy or the pedagogy of anatomy, with potential for externally funded research. Interdisciplinary focus encouraged (musculoskeletal tissue injury and regeneration, movement disorders, cancer biology, health and rehabilitation). Collaborate with the College of Health Sciences and School of Nursing.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in anatomy, physiology, or a closely related field by the appointment date.
- Exceptional promise in both research and teaching, with an emphasis on teaching courses in a cadaver laboratory.
- Record of teaching excellence.
- Record of research and scholarly publications, including potential for an externally funded research program.
- Ability to further the goals of the department, college, and university through design and implementation of courses and/or programs, including addressing accreditation needs of anatomy courses.
