Provides program support in instructional and related activities for students with disabilities under the supervision of certificated, licensed, and ancillary staff.

Participates in IEP/IFSP meetings when requested.

Assists with implementing instructional activities based on student goals and objectives in the IEP/IFSP.

Reinforces and supplements curriculum in the community, including worksites and community-based experiences, sometimes without the teacher present.

Provides input for behavior intervention planning and participates in related meetings.

Implements procedures and interventions according to behavior plans and district policies.

Loads and unloads students from buses/vehicles under staff supervision.

Assists with lifting, movement, meals, recreational activities, and other responsibilities as needed.

Participates in staff meetings, training, and school improvement activities.

Performs student health care services and assists in data collection for programs.

Models Win-Win leadership and uses technology for communication.

Prepares materials, bulletin boards, and may transport students to community sites.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary and Benefits
$16.86 - $24.11/hour; eligible for health and other insurances after one full day of employment.

Role and Responsibilities
Assist certificated staff and support instructional, health, recreational, and vocational activities for students with disabilities.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; 60 college credits preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Valid Michigan driver’s license preferred.
