About The OpportunityThe FIM Flint School of Performing Arts (FSPA) is looking for a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic Voice Instructor. Under the direction of the Voice Department Chair, the Voice Instructor provides instruction and coaching for all ages from beginning through advanced levels.
Instruction and Mentorship- Guide students using a variety of teaching methods and materials that foster growth and creative exploration.
- Provide expert music instruction, including demonstrations during lessons.
- Ensure students are performance‑ready and understand the process of translating practice work into a public presentation.
- Establish a good rapport with students and families, encouraging open discussion.
- Manage logistics, including communication with FSPA office staff, lesson scheduling, registration, and regular communication with students and families.
- Adhere to all FIM policies and procedures set forth.
- Foster an inclusive, student‑centered environment that supports risk‑taking, mutual respect, and creative expression.
- Support outreach and communication efforts to raise awareness, engage new participants, and connect the work of the Flint School of Performing Arts to the broader community.
- Model curiosity, openness, and professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field and related teaching experience preferred.
- Experience teaching diverse styles of music preferred.

- Rate: $30.68 – $32.16/hour.
