Voice Instructor

The FIM Flint School of Performing Arts (FSPA) is looking for a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic Voice Instructor. Under the direction of the Voice Department Chair, the Voice Instructor provides instruction and coaching for all ages from beginning through advanced levels.

• Guide students using a variety of teaching methods and materials that foster growth and creative exploration.
• Provide expert music instruction, including demonstrations during lessons.
• Ensure students are performance‑ready and understand the process of translating practice work into a public presentation.
• Establish a good rapport with students and families, encouraging open discussion.

• Manage logistics, including communication with FSPA office staff, lesson scheduling, registration, and regular communication with students and families.
• Adhere to all FIM policies and procedures set forth.

• Foster an inclusive, student‑centered environment that supports risk‑taking, mutual respect, and creative expression.
• Support outreach and communication efforts to raise awareness, engage new participants, and connect the work of the Flint School of Performing Arts to the broader community.
• Model curiosity, openness, and professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

• Bachelor’s degree in the field and related teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching diverse styles of music preferred.
