Job SummaryThe School Psychologist conducts psychological testing and assessment of individuals suspected of having a disability. Participates as a member of the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) and the Individualized Education Planning Team (IEPT) for individual students, as assigned by their supervisor.
Essential DutiesEducation: Michigan Department of Education School Psychologist Certification or full licensure as a School Psychologist by the State of Michigan.
Experience: Successful completion of 500 clock hours of university-supervised internship and at least one year of supervised experience by a Michigan-approved school psychologist.
Skills and Other RequirementsKnowledge of psychological testing administration and interpretation, curriculum-based and functional assessments, and data integration. Excellent communication skills, proficiency with district technology, and ability to work flexibly are required. Demonstrated knowledge in literacy, social-emotional development, and behavioral interventions is preferred.
