Position: (USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach

Position Summary:

Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation and accurate pricing, proper sign‑off, inventory levels, area cleanliness, economic trend assessment, and community needs. Oversees stocking and rotation of merchandise, sets up displays, and ensures fragile/high‑shrink items are protected. Leads and develops teams through training, active listening, store tours, feedback, and a Tour‑to‑Teach program. Communicates and collaborates with all associate levels regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and business initiatives.

Introduces and leads change efforts, provides clear expectations, and implements solutions. Models exceptional customer service, supports initiatives such as community outreach, resolves complaints, creates action plans, and leads process improvement for high‑quality customer experience. Provides supervision and development of hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and recognition. Controls merchandise loss, improves profitability through performance goals, audits, and inventory controls.

Trains managers/associates on safety, loss prevention, and operational controls. Manages claims and receiving operations, ensuring proper policies, documentation, and timely processing. Coaches associates for continuous learning, compliance, and the Open Door Policy. Builds high‑performing, diverse teams and fosters a culture of belonging. Acts with integrity, fulfills ethical standards, and supports Walmart’s regenerative company goals. Serves customers and members, balances data‑driven decisions, and encourages continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • Option 2: 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi‑department environment.
  • Option 3: 1 year’s experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi‑department environment.
  • Option 4: 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, and/or licensing).
  • If applicable, acquisition of a current, state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • If applicable, successful completion of a criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certification in an asset protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified), general work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing, and investigative experience.

Salary and Additional Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
